In 2024, The Rack proudly expanded it’s existing wholesale and retail dry fertilizer distribution terminal in Biggar, Saskatchewan. This investment in advanced infrastructure allows us to better serve producers in the Biggar area and across our network of retail locations. With expanded product access and improved operational efficiency, this facility helps meet the evolving nutritional demands of modern crop production.

At the heart of the terminal is a high-speed blending system featuring declining weight Ranco MeshDCS electronic technology, capable of delivering precise custom blends in just 8 to 12 minutes. The expansion includes eight bins with a combined capacity of 1,600 tonnes, increasing the total storage capability of the site to 20,000 MT. With a blending speed of up to 275 MT/hour, the terminal is built for both volume and accuracy.
To further enhance fertilizer value, micro fertility and stabilization impregnation units were added. These allow for the integration of advanced nutrient technologies like PROCOTE—ensuring essential micronutrients such as zinc, copper, and boron are applied efficiently and consistently, without compromising product quality.
